About Your Child’s Teachers

My name is Joseph Ortega but I ask for students and parents to call me Mr. Joey.  This is my second year teaching at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Academy but I have been working with children for eight years. I hold St. Elizabeth Catholic Academy dear to me because I attended this school from Pre-K to 8th Grade.  I enjoy working with children and aspire to assist your child in their first steps in their educational career. I have a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts and I am currently working towards my Masters in Early Childhood Education.  With my knowledge of the arts, I am able to incorporate live music and performances, which enhances their social and emotional behavior while they are learning.  I am a firm believer that children learn through play and cooperative experiences.  I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his/her full potential.

Hello, my name is Robeena Khan but you can call me Ms.Robeena.  I have been working at St. Elizabeth for four years and I very much enjoy working with children. Children are innocent, full of wonder, and can be extremely funny and I am happy to teach alongside Mr. Joey.  I too have a connection with St. Elizabeth Catholic Academy because my children attended this Pre-K for All Program and are currently attending the Academy across the street.
