Here is some information on how to borrow an iPad in case you need it at home. 

To keep children connected and able to participate in remote learning, the DOE is lending 300,000 internet-enabled iPads to students. Priority will be given to children most in need. All devices are granted on a temporary basis and will later need to be returned. There is a limit of one device per child. Families that wish to request a device should fill out this Remote Learning Device Request form

Additionally, your families may be eligible to receive a free at-home wi-fi service to support their child’s remote learning. Comcast is now offering free internet service for low-income families for 60 days for new qualifying customers. Families can visit https://www.internetessentials.com/ for more information. For your families with older children, households with K-12 students can get free Spectrum Wifi for 60 days (including free installation for new customers). Call 1-844-488-8395 for set up.

Finally, starting March 24, any child under 18 can receive free meals at one of 435 meal distribution sites across the City. To find a site, families should call 311 or text ‘FOOD’ or ‘COMIDA’ to 877-877.
